Very Disappointed!

I was so excited to hear this app described in the feature page of the App Store. I installed the app. Once in though I can’t even sign up as I am a VoiceOver user and totally Blind and none of the required fields are labeled. Not a good sign before even being able to explore the app. I do hope documentaries and TV shows have closed captions for people who are Deaf and Audio Description for people who are Blind. Netflix are the leader in streaming apps in these two areas, especially Audio Description. I will explore the iWonder App on iOS once an update makes the sign in and setup account process accessible.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for calling us out on our accessibility issues. Many of our films have subtitles in English and other languages, and we certainly hope to get to the level that Netflix has achieved in this area.

Scam App

This app is designed in cheating everyone because they never tell you that you have to pay monthly or yearly fees upon signing in. The fees are applied automatically as soon as you sign in but subject to a one month or a one year depending on which option you choose. It’s a SCAM

Developer Response ,

Hi, I'm sorry you feel you have been scammed. We make it clear when you sign up that you have to choose either a paid monthly or yearly plan in order to activate your 30-day free trial. The text below the plan selection says "Purchase will be applied to your iTunes account at the end of the trial." You can cancel any time before the end of the free trial and you should not be charged. If you somehow got charged before the end of your free trial, please let us know at support@iwonder.com and we will try to sort it out. Thanks.

The thinking wo/man’s Netflix

I’m loving iWonder - with so much stuff to watch these days it’s about quality over quantity for me. I feel smarter every time I watch a documentary on topical issues I would otherwise be oblivious about. Clever curation and easy to navigate subjects often with a brave angle on things. Thank you.
